About
I’m Ally Kelly – a storyteller, creative strategist, speaker, artist, and mental health advocate passionate about helping people and communities create meaningful change.
For more than 15 years, I’ve worked alongside schools, workplaces, community organisations, First Nations leaders, and not-for-profit teams across Australia to design creative approaches to mental health, wellbeing, and suicide prevention. Along the way, I’ve been privileged to contribute to initiatives that have reached more than 60,000 Australians and to receive a Suicide Prevention Australia LiFE Award in recognition of my contribution to the sector.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: people connect through stories.
Whether I’m facilitating workshops, speaking on stage, consulting with organisations, making art, or writing, my work is about making difficult conversations feel human, hopeful, and possible. I believe creativity has the power to build connection, build resilience, and inspire lasting change.
My experience spans mental health promotion, community engagement, and human-centred design. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with urban, regional, and remote communities across Australia, always guided by curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for local knowledge.
Today, I’m also embracing one of my most meaningful roles yet—motherhood. Becoming a mum has deepened my understanding of resilience, vulnerability, and the importance of community. It has reinforced what I’ve always believed: that caring for ourselves and each other creates ripple effects that extend far beyond our own lives.
This space brings together the many parts of who I am—creative, leader, advocate, artist, and lifelong learner. Whether you’re looking for a speaker, collaborator, consultant, or simply a place to explore ideas around purposeful living, I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s create something meaningful together.
Theory of Change
Change starts from the inside out. My work is built on a simple truth: when people have safe, inclusive spaces to express who they are, they cultivate deep emotional wellbeing and a true sense of belonging. Supported by intentional facilitation, these personal transformations are what ultimately build healthier, more connected communities.
What makes my work different?
- It is not art therapy
- It is not just art classes
- It is not a clinical mental health service
Instead I offer creative facilitation that intentionally builds wellbeing through the arts.
The Create Framework
At the heart of my work is the C.R.E.A.T.E. framework

“As we move towards a more holistic understanding of health, it is crucial to bridge the gap between the arts and healthcare, bringing the transformative and healing power of theatre and other creative modalities to the forefront of community care. These practices have the potential to reach those who may otherwise be underserved, providing accessible and impactful alternatives that contribute to the overall wellbeing of individuals and society. Now is the time to embrace and integrate these innovative approaches, ensuring that the benefits of arts in health are available to all who need them most.”

Vision
My long-term vision is to help pioneer a new model for community wellbeing through creativity. I dream of establishing an interactive Creative Wellbeing Hub where people don’t just learn about mental health—they experience it through music, theatre, visual arts, storytelling, movement and cultural connection. Bringing together artists, educators, health professionals and community leaders, the hub would provide inclusive, evidence-informed programs that inspire creativity, strengthen resilience and foster meaningful connections across generations. Every initiative I create today contributes to that future.
